I began my journey to better health by seeing a psychiatrist who specialises in food addiction. After two sessions together he pretty much accurately described what I was doing and what my relationship to food was. He told me that in order to change my life we would need to work on rewiring my brain to break the cycle of anxious eating. He also made me keep a diary which he read and commented on every day. He taught me numerous techniques to recognize when I was actually hungry and when I was only using food as an escape. He also taught me meditation techniques to overcome anxious hunger and set-up me up with a wonderful lady who is a nutritionist and who taught me about healthy cooking and eating. The last part was to start incorporating exercise in my life but slowly. I now swim 2k every day, put in about 15,000 steps a day and play badminton multiple times a week. My entire life has been transformed because of this and I am of course so much happier in my private and personal life. One of the things you need to know is that I read every single one of your posts in the year and I found them deeply inspiring and really genuine. Week 1: Holistic wellness assessment, visioning, and roadmap
Establish a baseline of your overall health and wellbeing, and gain clarity on your wellness goals.
Week 2: Your internal environment
Examine your thoughts, beliefs, emotions, and feelings, and understand how change begins in the mind.
Weeks 3-5 / Weeks 3-11: Any theme that is relevant to your goals, for example: nutrition; movement; rest; stress; relaxation; detoxification; career & purpose; habits & productivity; relationships; creativity, fun & leisure; and more.
Deep-dive into various key themes of holistic wellbeing and explore them through the lens of your unique context, needs, and goals.
Week 6 / Week 12: Maintenance planning
Solidify your long-term plan so that your new wellness practices can continue beyond our coaching sessions together.
